I have compiled (with the permission of Ben-Zvi Institute) the data found in : "Les registres Matrimoniaux de la Communauté Juive Portugaise de Tunis aux XVIIIème et XIXème Siècles" from Robert Attal and Joseph Avivi ( Ben-Zvi , 1989, see http://ybz.org.il).The book containing the first two volumes is indeed almost impossible to get and I am lucky enough to have a copy. I have now added the third volume, recently discovered. Three periods are now covered : vol. I (1788-1823), vol. II (1853-1878) and vol. III (1843-1854). Some marriages, celebrated other years in other towns of Tunisia (Sousse, Madhia, Monastir) and transcripted during these three periods of time are also included. The three volumes contain more than 1300 marriages (and divorces) (it means about 5000 individuals, with the fathers who are also indicated). Please, take only for sure, the names of married people, the first and last names of their fathers and the date of marriage. Except when mentioned, marriages were celebrated in Tunis. Note that I did not include the names of the witnesses (dayyanim or parnassim). They are included in a list given by Ben-Zvi Institute, Jerusalem, for the first two volumes.
The third volume has been discovered in 2000. Now translated, it is still perhaps on sale at Ben-Zvi Institute. It can also be ordered (Michael Glatzer) by e-mail

J'ai mis (avec l'autorisation de l'Institut Ben-Zvi) les données contenues dans les "Registres Matrimoniaux de la Communauté juive Portugaise de Tunis aux XVIIIème; et XIXème; siècles" de Robert Attal et Joseph Avivi ( Ben-Zvi , 1989, voir http://ybz.org.il ) sous formes de fiches. Le livre contenant les deux premiers volumes est en effet impossible à obtenir et j'ai la chance d'en avoir une copie. J'y ai ajouté le volume découvert (et traduit récemment). Trois périodes sont donc maintenant couvertes que j'ai séparées en trois volumes. Certains mariages, célébrés dans d'autres villes que Tunis (Sousse, Mahdia, Monastir) et transcrits pendant ces trois périodes, sont inclus. Les fiches comprennent plus de 1300 mariages avec les noms des époux et les prénoms des pères.Les noms des témoins (parnassim ou dayyanim) ne sont pas inclus. On peut les trouver dans une liste donnée par l'Institut Ben-Zvi pour les deux premiers volumes.
Le troisième volume a été retouvé en 2000. Il a été traduit et mis en vente à l'Institut Ben-Zvi, Jérusalem. Il est peut être encore disponible Essayez de le commander auprès de Michael Glatzer par e-mail
